Surfboard leashes are now an essential part of surfing. Back in the day when you wiped out, you would have to swim for your surfboard.

But today we have the surfboard leash. In Hawaii some of us call it a power cord. What ever you call it, It attaches to your leg and when you fall off it keeps your surfboard from ending up on the beach. You will have to determine the size of leash that you require. Normally I like to use a surfboard leash that is a foot or so longer than my surfboard. So if I wipe out the surfboard usually doesn't come back and hit me. I like to order most of my surf equipment from Ebay. You normally get a better deal than most surfboard shops!

Order a few surfboard leashes just in case you break your surf board leash you will have an extra one. The last thing that you want to do is go home to find your leash. Or worse yet you have to travel to your local surf shop and the waves and pumping. Sp come to the beach prepared and you will have much more fun!
